Penobscot Indian Nation Youth Program

The Penobscot Indian Nation (PIN) will expand Back to Traditional Values, a youth development program grounded in cultural practice and utilizing Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS), an evidenced-based framework that support reliable behavior change and pro-social behavior. The goal of this program is to provide purpose and meaning for Penobscot youth by building a learning community grounded in cultural traditions, environmental stewardship, and creative expression that fosters mentorship, peer-to-peer support, intergenerational exchange, and leadership that results in better decision making, pro-social behavior, and an improved quality of life.
