Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court

The Quinault Indian Nation Tribal Court project seeks to limit the number of youth incarcerated for status infractions by enhancing the work completed by the Tribal Juvenile Healing to Wellness Court (TJHWC). With a trauma-informed viewpoint, the goal is to develop procedures and structures that eliminate barriers to culturally integrated, tailored services and support. With funding, these efforts will work to strengthen the capacity of the Nation's TJHWC and centralize access to assistance for youth facing challenges such as substance addiction, mental health issues, absenteeism, and trauma
