2021 Children's Justice Act Partnerships Muscogee (Creek) Nation

Muscogee (Creek) Nation is a federally recognized tribe located in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma. With this funding, Muscogee (Creek) Nation Children and Family Services Administration (CFSA) will respond to the increase in cases due to the Supreme Court Ruling in McGirt v. Oklahoma by: 1) hiring two (2) CPS Investigators to assist in the increased caseload and; 2) update Family Protection Team policies and procedures to address a trauma-informed approach to delivery of services throughout the MCN reservation; 3) attend community outreach events to provide education and awareness of child abuse and neglect.
