The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is the fiduciary agency for the Regional Organized Crime Information Center (ROCIC). ROCIC is one of six Regional Information Sharing System (RISS) centers. It is composed of over 1800 law enforcement agencies in the southeastern and southwestern United States, Puerto Rico, and the U. S. Virgin Islands. ROCIC offers a variety of services to its members, including automated, centralized law enforcement databases with nationwide connectivity using internet technologies, intelligence analysis, bulletins and publications, surveillance equipment loans, confidential funds, long-distance call patching, and law enforcement and officer safety training. The RISS Intranet system is a secure law enforcement communications system networked among the RISS Centers and member agencies and known as RISSNET. The components of RISSNET allow authorized online access to RISSIntel Criminal Intelligence Databases, RISSGang National Gang Database, RISSLinks, RISSLeads Law Enforcement Investigative Leads Bulletin Board, ROCIC Secure Intranet Website, RISSATIX Automated Trusted Information Exchange, and Secure Intranet Email Services.
