The Missouri Attorney General is the fiduciary agency for the Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center (MOCIC). MOCIC is one of six Regional Information Sharing Systems (RISS) Centers. RISS provides secure information-sharing resources to assist law enforcement in combating criminal activity that spans jurisdictional boundaries. RISS promotes and facilitates information sharing among nearly 7,500 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies representing more than 750,000 sworn officers in all 50 states, as well as the District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, Canada, England and Australia. MOCIC continues to promote intelligence sharing through the use of the criminal intelligence databases available via RISSNET' a secure, nationwide, web-based, information-sharing network.
