Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $50,000)
The Family Justice will train the state and city probation and parole officers in the City of Richmond, Virginia in order to bring continuity to all stakeholders that focus on prisoner reentry. They will provide them with training on the Bodega Model® of family case management. Additional funding will enable Family Justice to build on the relationships developed with key stakeholders in the Richmond criminal justice community. Family Justice seeks to provide training and technical assistance on the tools and methods of the Bodega Model® of family focused community supervision for community-corrections agencies in order to encourage a strength-based approach to working with people who have been involved in the justice system.
