Enhancing State-Tribal Government Collaboration for Strategic Planning

The National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) will support the Enhancing State Tribal Government Collaboration for Strategic Planning project to increase state and tribal government officials' awareness of the benefits of collaborative problem solving and planning. NCJA will develop a tool kit for collaboration and templates for state and tribal strategic planning using the information identified in the initial site visits and working group results. They will convene two working groups to review the collaboration tool kit and templates and to provide feedback regarding distribution and implementation in the field. NCJA will also disseminate the tool kit, strategic planning templates, and project findings to state and tribal governors and chiefs, state and tribal criminal and juvenile justice practitioners and policy makers, and to agencies and organizations providing training and technical assistance to criminal and juvenile justice officials within tribes.
