The American Prosecutors Research Institute (APRI) of the National District Attorneys Association will continue to serve as the primary training, technical assistance, and research provider for state and local prosecutors involved in gang and gun crime prevention and prosecution for the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Program. APRI will further the goal of reducing gang violence by participating in the PSN Anti-Gang Training, supporting the strategic planning sessions, providing expert instruction on gang prosecution issues, developing new anti-gang strategies to assist local prosecutors and police, updating existing anti-gang trainings and strategies, and providing no-cost supplemental training and technical assistance to local prosecutors and police, upon request.

PSN is a comprehensive, strategic approach to reducing gun crime in America. By linking together federal, state, and local law enforcement, prosecutors, and community leaders, PSN provides a multifaceted approach to deterring and punishing gun crime.
