The National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) will collaborate with the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) partners to address gun and gang violence by providing tools, resources, training, and technical assistance to field professionals. PSN is a comprehensive, strategic approach to reducing gun crime in America. By linking together federal, state, and local law enforcement, prosecutors, and community leaders, PSN provides a multifaceted approach to deterring and punishing gun crime. In support of PSN, NCPC will: provide logistical and technical support to the Executive Sessions; assess trends and patterns of violent crime to identify prevention strategies; develop and deliver training to field practitioners on gang and gun violence prevention techniques; and provide technical support and disseminate information to practitioners throughout the life of the initiative.
