Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2008, $225,000)

The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) will facilitate justice information sharing through the delivery of the Privacy 101 Technical Assistance and Training Program. The project will: foster comprehensive understanding of the provisions in Title 28 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 23 (28 CFR Part 23); ensure the effective implementation of criminal intelligence systems; and, enhance the development of privacy and civil liberties policies by law enforcement agencies. IIR will manage curriculum enhancement, coordinate technical assistance and training delivery, and develop an online training component.
