Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $764,000)

The IJIS Institute will provide support for continuation of the National Suspicious Activity Report Initiative (NSI). IJIS will maintain software applications deployed in the Information Sharing Environment-Suspicious Activity Report (ISE-SAR). In addition, the project will provide technical consulting services for Fusion Centers seeking to join the NSI as well as support to the development of a national strategy to expand the NSI to the entire country. The support will include facilitation and project management functions in collaboration with local, state, federal, and applicable tribal participants, as necessary. IJIS will ensure consistency with the goals and directives of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Program Manager for the Information Sharing Environment, and the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
