Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2009, $75,000)

Hobson and Associates will assist representatives of selected judicial districts in the development, implementation, and delivery of training for primary law enforcement agencies operating within or around that district in support of the Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Anti-Gang and Technical Assistance Program. This training is designed to enhance street-level crime gun detection, interdiction and recovery techniques, and firearms case articulation toward successful prosecution. Working closely with designated local U.S. Attorney's Office (USAO) personnel and representatives of other PSN technical assistance (TA) providers, Hobson and Associates will provide base training materials and classroom instruction for approved training venues on characteristics of armed gang members and gunmen, tactical enforcement and investigative techniques, and firearms case articulation for successful prosecution.
