Award Information
Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2011, $410,432)
The National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) has begun to develop and provide critically needed training and technical assistance to state and local law enforcement to address escalating intellectual property (IP) crimes. Through a collaborative effort with the National Association of Attorneys General, NW3C is increasing the awareness and skills of prosecutors to deal with this growing concern. The additional funding will help augment training, technical assistance, and resources so these can be made available to a much larger number of investigators and prosecutors. This award will allow NW3C to update research, establish relevant web-based training, provide numerous technical assistance visits to specific law enforcement agencies, and present additional IP trainings across the nation.
