The Enhancing Adult Drug Court Services, Coordination, and Treatment Grant Program is designed to assist states, state courts, local courts, counties, other units of local government, or Indian tribal governments to implement comprehensive strategies for enhancing drug court capacity by bridging access to both criminal justice and substance abuse treatment funds. The program supports the development and establishment of drug courts for substance-abusing adults and that enhance drug court services, coordination, and substance abuse treatment and recovery support services. Drug court programs funded by the Enhancing Adult Drug Court Services, Coordination, and Treatment Grant Program are required by law to target nonviolent criminal offenders.
The Osceola County Board of Commissioners will use the enhancing adult drug court services, coordination, and treatment grant to expand treatment services to an additinoal 60 non-violent offenders with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. The county also wishes to provide continuing education for all team members to ensure policies and procedures of the program are met. CA/NCF
