Waukesha County Alcohol Treatment Court Project

The Enhancing Adult Drug Court Services, Coordination, and Treatment Grant Program is designed to assist states, state courts, local courts, counties, other units of local government, or Indian tribal governments to implement comprehensive strategies for enhancing drug court capacity by bridging access to both criminal justice and substance abuse treatment funds. The program supports the development and establishment of drug courts for substance-abusing adults and that enhance drug court services, coordination, and substance abuse treatment and recovery support services. Drug court programs funded by the Enhancing Adult Drug Court Services, Coordination, and Treatment Grant Program are required by law to target nonviolent criminal offenders.

The County of Waukesha County will enhance their adult drug court services, coordination, and treatment. They will expand the capacity of the treatment court and improve substance abuse and mental health treatment services for participants. The court will incorporate a continuum of care component that integrates alcohol and drug abuse treatment for clients with co-occurring disorders.
