The disparate jurisdictions of the city of Kokomo and Howard County will share this JAG award in the amount of $36,159 to sponsor the Kokomo Police Department (KPD) and Howard County Sheriffs Office (HCSO) initiative, Project Save a Life. The JAG award funds will be used to purchase automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The AEDs are a tool that will assist law enforcement officers to better serve the public by saving lives and providing first aid to the injured. The AEDs will be positioned within various city government buildings, law enforcement patrol and SWAT vehicles, law enforcement dispatch centers, and the Police Athletic/Activities League.
