The Institute for Intergovernmental Research, RISS Office of Information Technology (OIT) will support the work of the Program Manager for the Information Sharing Environment (PM-ISE). RISS OIT will be responsible for developing and managing information sharing programs for RISS, including the RISS Secure Intranet (RISSNET). The goal of the program is to provide RISS OIT support to the Information Sharing and Access Interagency Policy Committee (ISA-IPC) and PM-ISE by working with SBU network partners to define and adopt a standard means of federating identity and privilege management. The objectives include: development of an Information Exchange Package Document (IEPD) to facilitate information sharing via a federated search; and the expansion of information sharing among partner agencies via the National Information Exchange Federation (NIEF).
