Gangs Data Exchange Standard and Pilot Implementation Project

The Integrated Justice Information Systems Institute Inc. will provide technical support for exchanging gang information across agencies via development of standards, tools, and sharing environment with associated proof-of-concept pilot. They will develop the next generation of a national gang exchange standard and federated search tool; connect key data sources (gang databases) to a shared and secure information sharing environment and associated federated search; conduct a proof-of-concept implementation that demonstrates the viability of the gang data exchange standard, shared space, and federated search tool; and support the electronic movement of gang data from local databases to the FBI violent gang and terrorist offender file.
