Georgetown County will utilize the FY 2011 JAG award to enhance sheriff's office's ability to conduct surveillance through the acquisition of a Vehicle License Tag Reader System. The Vehicle License Tag Reader System will be used in areas of the jurisdiction based on crime trends, traffic patterns, and criminal activity. This technological advancement will identify vehicles and suspects involved in criminal activity and improve the prosecution of crimes.
