Global Support for National Policy, Practice, and Technology Project

Efficient and effective sharing of information between and among justice agencies and their partner organizations is at the heart of today's efforts across the nation to protect public safety. The Institute for Intergovernmental Research will be responsible for working closely with BJA to support DOJ's Global and related efforts, as well as coordinating with Program Manager for the Information Sharing Environment (ISE) and all public and private stakeholders in order to inform project activities and evaluate outcomes. The grant will supportn three information sharing projects: 1) development of a platform for fusion centers to archive, share, discuss, and evaluate knowledge and practices tied to the tradecraft of the domestic intelligence process; 2) creating a Secure Federated Search across the ISE; and, 3) connecting fusion centers intelligence systems that enable the analysis of criminal and terrorism data across jurisdictional boundaries and agencies.
