Enhancing Community Prosecution through the National High Performance Prosecution (HPP) Framework Initiative

The grantee proposes to use the FY 2014 supplemental award to continue the national development of community prosecution, innovative prosecutorial strategies and the National High Performance Prosecution (HPP) Framework, in partnership with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and Center for Court Innovation (CCI). More specifically, funds will be used to meet the present national need for training and technical assistance to improve the prosecutorial function. The goal is to train and equip prosecutors with the requisite skills and knowledge necessary to implement informed and evidence-based decision-making using the HPP framework, while continuing to increase the effectiveness and the efficacy of the justice system.
NCA/NCF
The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (APA) will continue the national development of community prosecution, innovative prosecutorial strategies and the National High Performance Prosecution (HPP) Framework, in partnership with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and Center for Court Innovation (CCI). Specifically, APA will utilize the supplement award to meet the present national need for training and technical assistance in an effort to improve the prosecutorial function by making more informed decisions and embracing BJAs high performance framework standards. APAs goal is to train and equip prosecutors with the requisite skills and knowledge necessary to implement informed and evidence-based decision-making using the HPP framework, while continuing to increase the effectiveness and the efficacy of the justice system.
