Multi-Jurisdictional Juvenile Justice Data Sharing Program

Efficient and effective sharing of information between and among justice agencies and their partner organizations is at the heart of today's efforts across the nation to protect public safety and reduce offender recidivism. Presently it is not possible to ascertain the current legal status or to assemble a complete picture of the information regarding a juvenile in the state of Michigan. This project will remedy this by defining the information sharing needs of the state, including an analysis of the partner organizations that possess pertinent information, and developing technology solutions to enable the responsible sharing of appropriate information with authorized parties as permitted by law and policy.
