This project will assist the State of Alaska in meeting the Assurance requirements to achieve compliance with the National Standards to Prevent, Detect, and Respond to Prison Rape. These funds will support costs associated with auditing one third of the adult correctional facilities within Alaska; training Department staff to become PREA certified auditors; and orientation, education, training and strategic planning for correctional facility staff to identify issues to be addressed for future PREA compliance.
