The Virgin Islands Office of the Governor proposes to use 2014 PREA reallocation funds for training and education initiatives, equipment, supplies, professional services and travel. The goal of the project is to eradicate prisoner rape in all types of the Virgin Islands Correctional facilities and provide staff training and education to inmates. Funding will enhance the current standards and bring the territory in full compliance with PREA.
