This grant will fund efforts to focus on PREA compliance through the State of New Mexico correctional facilities to enhance victim's advocacy support to supplement PREA Standard §115.53 by partnering with the New Mexico Corrections Department (NMCD). The NMCD will establish guidelines to provide inmates with access to outside victim advocates for emotional support services related to sexual abuse, and increase the inmate's ability to successfully function while incarcerated by providing rehabilitative programming.
