Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2016, $1,800,000)

The purpose of the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program (42 U.S.C. 3797u et seq.) is to provide financial and technical assistance to states, state courts, local courts, units of local government, and Indian tribal governments to develop and implement drug courts that effectively integrate evidence-based substance abuse treatment, mandatory drug testing, sanctions and incentives, and transitional services in a judicially supervised court setting with jurisdiction over substance-abusing drug court participants. Providers under this solicitation will support the Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program (42 U.S.C. 3797u et seq.) grantees as well as the adult drug court field-at-large.

Category 2 Adult Drug Court Training Initiative: The grantee, serving as a technical assistance provider, will use the grant funds to plan, deliver, evaluate, market, and modify a menu of training courses and publications for improved drug court team functioning, more effective services, and better outcomes for drug court participants.
