Nevada Forensic Improvement and Continuing Education for Forensic Science Personnel (Non-Opioid) and Screening Equipment Procurement (Opioid)

The Nevada Department of Public Safety's Office of Criminal Justice Assistance (OCJA) as the State Administering Agency for this Program, is requesting Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant funds to improve quality forensic laboratory services for the two forensic laboratories, both of which are accredited through the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB).

OCJA is requesting funding to monitor the two sub-recipients laboratories and support personnel expenses dedicated to fiscal and programmatic compliance associated with federal funding.
