The University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNT HSC) requests funds to aid agencies throughout the United States in the investigation of missing person and unidentified decedents. UNT HSC performs anthropological and DNA analyses on samples collected from unidentified human remains and family reference samples in missing persons cases in order to assist in efforts to identify previously unidentified human remains and resolve missing persons cases. Funding will support the salaries of the many DNA analysts, management, and an anthropologist; enable the entering of eligible profiles into CODIS; and assist agencies with entering relevant case information into NamUs.
