Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2018, $79,500)

The Idaho State Police Forensic Services (ISPFS) has hired additional laboratory personnel in order to keep up with the increased casework demand of the last few years, but the laboratory is at capacity and cannot fit any more analysts in the current office space. With this project, the ISPFS will purchase an ADA compliant modular trailer that will be placed near the lab to host up to 12 offices for DNA analysts. The individual offices will help the analysts be more productive, avoid distractions, and allow for private discussions with investigators and attorneys. The ISPFS has put forth 25% in matching costs for this project.
