Description of original award (Fiscal Year 2021, $70,537)
The Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grants Program (the Coverdell program), which awards grants to states and units of local government to help improve forensic science and medical examiner/ coroner services. Under the Coverdell program, State Administering Agencies (SAAs) may apply for both formula and competitive funds. Units of local government may apply for competitive funds.
The goal of this program is to improve forensic science and medical examiner/coroner services, including services provided by laboratories operated by states and units of local government.
