The Bureau of Justice Assistance issued an invitation for funding to assist with offsetting costs related to the precipitous increase in violence occurring in and around the City of Kenosha during events that took place on or after August 23, 2020 and related to the civil unrest and criminal activity experienced by the City and County of Kenosha as a result thereof. Allowable costs are limited to overtime, equipment, regular salary costs and travel costs and other similar allowable expenses, incurred by the law enforcement response. Funding for this grant award is authorized under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program.
