FY 2023 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program – State Solicitation
The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program is the primary provider of federal criminal justice funding to states and units of local government. Through this opportunity, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will award JAG Program funds to eligible states as described in this FY 2023 JAG Program State Solicitation.
BJA has issued a separate solicitation for applications from units of local government.
Eligible Applicants:
State governments
Only states may apply under this solicitation, and states must designate a single State Administering Agency that has authority to apply on their behalf.
By law, for purposes of the JAG Program, the term “states” includes the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa.
