The Bureau of Justice Assistance is authorized to distribute funds to help offset the costs of an adequate response to an uncommon situation which requires law enforcement, which is or threatens to become of serious or epidemic proportions, and with respect to which state and local resources are inadequate to protect the lives and property of citizens, or to enforce the criminal law.
This solicitation provides funding to to assist with offsetting the costs related to the law enforcement emergency that occurred in Nashville, Tennessee, on March 27, 2023.
