With this solicitation, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) seeks to support law enforcement agencies that have an intellectual property (IP) enforcement task force or plan to create one. The Intellectual Property Enforcement Program (IPEP) assists state, local, and tribal jurisdictions in preventing and reducing intellectual property theft and related crime as well as supporting law enforcement in investigating and prosecuting IP crimes and reducing violent crime associated with IP cases and investigations.
Eligible Applicants:
- State governments
- Special district governments
- City or township governments
- Public- and state-controlled institutions of higher education
- County governments
- Native American tribal governments (federally recognized)
- Other:
- Units of local government, such as towns, boroughs, parishes, villages, or other general purpose political subdivisions of a State
- State, local, tribal, municipal, or campus law enforcement agencies, to include prosecutors
NOTE: If the applicant received an IPEP award in FY23, they are not eligible to apply for IPEP funding for FY24. The applicant may be eligible to apply again in FY25.
The web-based questionnaire for the Inventory of Federal Priorities for Policing is currently unavailable. Applicants should continue to complete and submit their applications without this questionnaire being able to be completed. BJA will follow-up with each fully submitted applicant once the solicitation has closed via email in the coming days as it relates to Inventory of Federal Priorities for Policing priority.
