The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) of the Office of Justice Programs (OJP) invites applications for the FY 2024 Office of Justice Programs Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative Training and Technical Assistance Program. Public- and state-controlled institutions of higher education; nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; private institutions of higher education; for-profit organizations other than small businesses; and small businesses are eligible to apply. Successful applicants will receive funding to provide a range of training and technical assistance (TTA) to grantees and the field at large under the Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI) in the following areas: trauma-informed practices and workforce development for Community Violence Intervention (CVI) organizations and staff, mass casualty shooting reviews, law enforcement engagement with CVI programs, TTA network support and coordination, and strategic communications. BJA encourages applications from agencies that have not received BJA funding before and convening or governing bodies that can apply on behalf of one or more entities. The solicitation also includes tips for success and information about how and when to apply.
