The Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Training and Technical Assistance Center (PDMP TTAC) reports 2020 data and 2021 features of the Idaho state Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP).



The anacronym for the Idaho PDMP is IPMP, which is managed by the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses, a Professional Licensing Agency. Contact information is provided for the Program Information Coordinator and the Executive Director. For 2020, the state population was 1,841,377, and there were 9,934 DEA-registered prescribers and 351 DEA-registered dispensers. A total of 24 reports are listed as available from the PDMP. Funding for the PDMP in 2021 comes from licensing fees, controlled substance registration fees, and the Regulatory Board Fund. One employee performs operational tasks and one performs other tasks. Requirements for having a PDMP account are provided. Law enforcement access to the PDMP requires that it be related to an active investigation. Criteria for querying the PDMP are listed. Data are monitored or accessible for drugs listed in Schedules II-V, with the authority to monitor other substances. Data are monitored or accessible for naloxone/narcan dispensing, as well as pharmaceutical manufacturers/distribution sales.
