In an April 6, 2020, Office of Justice Programs (OJP) blog post, Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Katharine T. Sullivan highlights how OJP is working to continue to equip, strengthen, and protect communities during the coronavirus pandemic.
OJP efforts include the release of $850 million in funding to assist states, communities, and tribes in their response to the coronavirus through BJA's FY 2020 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program. Additionally, BJA's Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Site-Based Program, which supports community efforts to fight the abuse of illicit drugs and serve those who have been adversely affected, is also highlighted.
