Rural law enforcement agencies face increasing rates of crime and disorder—and often have dwindling resources with which to combat them. To discuss critical issues in rural policing, the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services and BJA convened five listening sessions with rural law enforcement stakeholders in September 2019 to discuss rural law enforcement's common concerns, challenges, and needs.
