The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Program seeks applicants for funding through the Comprehensive Secure and Responsible Drug Disposal Program.
This program will support state, local, and tribal governments in purchasing drug take-back and disposal equipment, enabling law enforcement agencies, first responders, and/or citizens to destroy and/or return unused medicine. This program complements existing federal take-back efforts, such as National Take Back Day, and expands this important component in a community’s fight against substance abuse into a year-round opportunity.
Completed applications for this opportunity are due by 5 p.m. ET, on November 25, 2020.
To help potential applicants, an informational webinar will be held on November 10, at 2 p.m. ET. Webinar presenters will provide an overview of the funding opportunity and application submission instructions.
