The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is seeking an applicant for a Grants Management Specialist opening within the Policy Office's Corrections, Reentry, and Justice Reform Division. The position will serve as a Senior Policy Advisor and expert/authority designing and directing efforts involving the Justice Reinvestment Initiative and other data driven justice reform efforts.
Duties include the following:
- Designs and directs efforts involving data collection, analysis, use, and associated challenges across agencies as well as interplay between state and local systems and agencies.
- Provides expert criminal justice advice and guidance on the Justice Reinvestment Initiative and other data driven reform efforts relating to grant and/or cooperative agreement projects and programs.
- Evaluates and recommends action to decision makers on concept papers, abstracts, applications for funding, and related matters.
- Serves as a BJA representative in corrections, reentry, and justice reform on agency or inter-agency task forces whose members include high-level Department of Justice officials and other executive branch representatives.
