On June 29, 2021, Bureau of Justice Assistance Acting Director Kristen Mahoney sent a letter to State Administering Agency Directors regarding the versatility of Edward Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program funds.
In her letter, Acting Director Mahoney highlights the different areas that JAG funds can be used to support and emphasizes how JAG funds can be used by stakeholders and communities at risk of hate crimes to respond to and prevent these attacks.
