Nominations Now Being Accepted for the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor

BJA is now accepting nominations for the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor.

Every day, public safety officers risk their lives to protect America's citizens and communities. To honor that commitment, Congress passed The Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor Act of 2001, which created the Public Safety Officer Medal of Valor, the highest national award for valor by a public safety officer.

Eligibility for the this year's Medal of Valor is limited to incidents that take place between June 1, 2020 and May 31, 2021. Nominations will be accepted from May 28, 2021 until July 31, 2021.
