President’s Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice Holds Hearing on the Role of the Public Defender

The President’s Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice was established under Executive Order No. 13896 signed by President Trump. The Commission serves the important function of studying ways to make American law enforcement the most trusted and effective guardians of our communities.

The Commission recently held a hearing via teleconference on the role of public defenders. The teleconference featured expert witnesses who provided testimony and, subsequently, answered questions from the Commissioners.
