Seeking Applications for the Peer Recovery Support Services Mentoring Initiative

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is accepting applications to participate in the 2024 Peer Recovery Support Services Mentoring Initiative (PRSSMI).

PRSSMI promotes networking and program-to-program learning among organizations implementing peer recovery support services (PRSS). This program is part of BJA’s Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) Training and Technical Assistance Center on Peer Recovery Support Services at Altarum.

Up to 15 mentee programs will be selected and matched with mentor sites experienced in implementing PRSS programs. Mentee sites selected through this application process will receive consultation and support from their assigned mentor, culminating in an in-person visit to their mentor site. The PRSSMI will cover travel fees for up to three (3) team members from each mentee site.

While PRSSMI mentee site applications are accepted on a rolling basis, the deadline for submission for this round of mentee site selection is by 5 p.m. ET on January 31, 2024 (note, this is an extension from the original deadline).

See the PRSSMI section of the COSSUP Resource Center website for details about this initiative, including application forms and submission links.
