Who is Eligible?

The following entities are eligible for training and technical assistance (TTA) through the Bureau of Justice Assistance's COVID-19 Detection and Mitigation in Confinement Facilities (CDMCF) TTA Center:

  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Prevention and Control of Emerging Infectious Diseases recipients
  • State, local, and territorial confinement facilities

  • Guidance on using available funding.
  • Help building collaborative partnerships between health departments, confinement facilities, and emergency managers.
  • Peer-to-peer collaboration and learning.
  • Information on best practices and lessons learned on detection and mitigation strategies.
  • Review of pandemic response plans.
  • Curriculum development and training delivery.
  • Support in the development of detection and mitigation strategies and resources.
  • Support in the development and tracking of performance measures.
  • Access to subject matter experts in correctional operations, correctional health care, curriculum development and training, corrections administration, and public health.
