Innovations in Supervision Initiative: Building Capacity to Create Safer Communities
Application deadline extended for the BJA FY 2019 Innovations in Supervision Initiative: Building Capacity to Create Safer Communities solicitation. The purpose of this program is to provide state and local community corrections agencies with information, resources, and training and technical assistance on ways to improve supervision capacity and partnerships with other justice agencies to prevent recidivism and reduce crime in their jurisdictions. Apply by: July 15, 2019.

Innovations in Supervision Initiative: Building Capacity to Create Safer Communities
Through the FY 2018 Innovations in Supervision Initiative: Building Capacity to Create Safer Communities opportunity, BJA is seeking applications for: (1) probation and parole agencies to implement more effective practices to reduce recidivism, and (2) a training and technical assistance provider to assist in developing a model for probation agencies to partner with other justice agencies to further their mutual public safety goals. Apply by: May 1, 2018.

Swift, Certain, and Fair Supervision Solicitation Available
BJA has released the FY 2017 Swift, Certain, and Fair (SCF) Supervision Program -- Including Project HOPE funding opportunity. This opportunity is for those states, localities, and tribes interested in implementing or enhancing a Swift, Certain, and Fair Supervision Program Model to reduce criminal behavior and enhance public safety. Apply by: March 20, 2017.

Smart Supervision Solicitation Released
BJA has released the FY 2017 Smart Supervision: Reducing Prison Populations, Saving Money, and Creating Safer Communities funding opportunity. This program supports efforts to develop and implement probation and parole practices that effectively address individuals' needs and reduce recidivism. Apply by: March 7, 2017.

Smart Supervision Solicitation Released
The FY 2016 Smart Supervision: Reducing Prison Populations, Saving Money, and Creating Safer Communities solicitation has been released. Through this program, resources are provided to states, units of local government, and federally recognized Indian tribes to develop and implement more effective and evidence-based probation and parole practices that effectively address individuals' needs and reduce recidivism. Applications are due April 11, 2016.
