Department of Justice Awards More than $92 Million to Support Offenders Returning to Communities

Success Story: Expanding Access to Probation Services in Coconino County
With funding support from BJA, the Coconino Online Probation Education (COPE) program supports clients living in outlying areas of Coconino County, Arizona, through services such as a virtual mentoring initiative, providing clients with a support system that may otherwise be lacking.
Over $55.8 Million Awarded to Support Offenders Returning to Communities
OJP has announced awards totaling more than $55.8 million to reduce recidivism among adults and youth returning to their communities after confinement. The awards include more than $39.3 million under BJA's Second Chance Act suite of grant programs.
