National Police Week

Hear from BJA Director Karhlton F. Moore as he speaks about National Police Week and remembers those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. National Police Week is a time to support law enforcement communities while honoring officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
