The mission of ACA is to provide a professional organization for all individuals and groups, both public and private that share a common goal of improving the justice system.

National Correctional Industries Association (NCIA)

As part of the Training and Technical Assistance Project of the Private Sector/Prison Industry Enhancement Certification Program (PIECP) for the U.S. Department of Justice, NCIA conducts reviews of PIECP programs and cost accounting centers, compiles and publishes quarterly statistical reports, and provides technical support to PIECP certificate holders via an annual training webinar and online resources.

Prison Industry Enhancement Certification Technical Assistance Program

Closing Date
To provide technical assistance to Prison Industry Enhancement Certification Program, Certificate Holders and their Cost Accounting Centers. Prison Industry Programs assist incarcerated individuals to develop marketable skills that will increase their potential for rehabilitation and employment upon release.

PIECP programs place people who are incarcerated in realistic work environments, pay them prevailing wages, and give them a chance to develop marketable skills that will increase their potential for rehabilitation and meaningful employment on release.
