This webinar will provide a general overview of FY25 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation (CTAS) Purpose Areas (PA) 3 and 5 and will also highlight key requirements to submit an application.
CTAS provides federally recognized tribes and tribal consortia an opportunity to apply for funding to aid in developing a comprehensive and coordinated approach to public safety. Many of the Department of Justice's existing tribal government-specific programs are included in and available through this single coordinated funding opportunity.
PA #3: Tribal Justice Systems Program
Supported by: Bureau of Justice Assistance
PA #3 supports tribal efforts to develop, support, and improve adult tribal justice systems and prevent crime, including violent crime and crime related to opioid, alcohol, stimulant, and other substance use disorders. Service populations may also include youth, but entirely youth-focused projects should apply under CTAS PA #9.
PA #5: Adult Tribal Treatment Court Program
Supported by: Bureau of Justice Assistance
PA #5 supports tribal efforts to develop, implement and enhance adult treatment courts, including healing to wellness courts, veteran’s treatment courts, driving while intoxicated courts, and other treatment focused courts or court dockets. The purpose of the program is to reduce the misuse of opioids, stimulants, and other substances by people involved in the criminal justice system.
