PREA Funds Joint Project - Ohio Department of Youth Services and Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction

The grant funds will be used to support efforts to achieve compliance with the PREA standards and establish "zero tolerance" cultures for sexual assault in confinement facilities. The youth exposed to sexual victimization will receive services and support necessary to address the trauma. A portion of funds will be used to purchase security and surveillance equipment to enhance supervision and monitoring, increase communication between staff and increase data storage. The overall goal is to reduce and/or eliminate sexual abuse throughout community corrections.
